Former U.S. National Team Member Anna Quinn to Lead Upgraded Monday Evening Sessions Beginning August 10
PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Speedskating announced today the launch of its newly rebranded “Learn to Race” program, formerly known as the club’s Learn to Speedskate clinic.
Designed for youth skaters and adults looking to transition from basic ice skating to dynamic short-track speedskating techniques, the six-week session will run on Monday evenings 6:30 to 7:45 from August 10 through September 21 at the Park City Ice Arena.
“We’re shifting the focus from simply learning to glide to truly mastering the power, edge control, and competitive fun of short-track racing,” said Brian Boudreau, Executive Director and Head Coach of Park City Speedskating.
Program Details & Schedule
- Dates: Mondays — August 10, 17, 24, 31, and September 14, 21 (No session on Labor Day, Sept. 7)
- Cost: $186 for 6 sessions ($31 per session) Includes USS daily insurance.
- Insurance thru US Speedskating is $6. Must fill out insurance form.
- Location: Park City Ice Arena (600 Gilmore Way, Park City, UT)
- Target Audience: Youth athletes with basic skating abilities looking to refine technique, build core athletic conditioning, and experience short-track racing.
- Equipment: Speedskates are included as well as helmets; participants must bring a multi-impact helmet, long sleeves, gloves, and knee protection recommended (Trace Knee pads or similar). Arrive early to be fitted for speedskates.
Registration is limited to maintain a low athlete-to-coach ratio and ensure personalized feedback on the ice.
